Thomas Boyd of the house of Kilmarnock MP for Bangor Co-Down, 1651, married Mary daughter of Sir Adam Loftus of Rathfarnham, his only surviving child Letita married William Lord Boyd, son and successor to William Boyd first Earl of Kilmarnock Hamilton Manuscripts. If Thomas Boyd was of the House of Kilmarnock, he was related to Col. David Boyd of Tourgill, who had land in Co- Down, who was also of the House of Kilmarnock, could he be a grandson?
