    3. Darlene I was just letting members know that there was such a book. As from my initial message, I assume that there could be other publications that might outline Boyds who were members of the Cherokee nation. The data is not very "good" in that it give a mothers name plus "x" number of children. It also appear that you have to be on a "roll" from the 1830's. Plus some families in 1905 may not have wished to have told people that several generations before they had Indian ancestor. Yes I will post the information, but not yesterday. In future, the Society will need to "maintain a list" of those who claim descent from the Cherokee Nation and perhaps those that have proved their claim. We may need to do the same with other Indian "nations" as well. We know that a number of Boyd families came to the Cherokee Nations area of the Carolinas, Georgia and Virginia in the early 1700's, so we may find some Indians with Boyd DNA but no known link to any published Boyd family. My Boyds moved through S.C., Georgia and into Alabama. If you need help with your list, let me know--I would be happy to help if I can.
