Beverly was born May 29, 1925 in Galion, Ohio to the late Ralph E. and Jean L. (Diamond) Boyd. She lived all of her adult life in Bucyrus, Ohio. Beverly attended Galion High School and later graduated from Laurel School for Girls in Shaker Heights, Ohio. She received her B.A. from Mount Holyoke College, South Hadley, Massachusetts in 1947. She was married to the late Walter R. "Mike" Michael from 1947-1966, with whom she had two children, Jeff and Jean. She was remarried to E. Blair Ruhl, Jr. in 1969 and he passed away in 1974 following a lifelong battle with cancer. Bev was a member of the First United Methodist Church, The American Association of University Women, The Bucyrus Country Club and a former member of the Bal Harbour Club in Bal Harbour, Florida. She was a Grey Lady at Bucyrus Community Hospital and a member of Twig I. She served as a Boy Scout and Girl Scout leader for many years and enjoyed golfing, gardening and traveling. She lived her entire life on the lake by West Southern Avenue, devoting much of her time to caring for loved ones, including family, friends and relatives. A few named survivors include a son, Jeffrey Boyd Michael of Bucyrus, OH; a daughter and son-in-law, Jean and Tim Eagan of Spring Lake, MI; two grandsons, Patrick Eagan and wife Melissa of Greenwich, CT and William Eagan of Hilton Head, SC; a nephew, William Boyd Michael of Bucyrus; nieces, Mary Michael (Kohel) Haver of Portland, OR and Susan Secrest (David) Deluca of Rochester, NY; brother and sister-in-law, Charles R. Michael and wife Cynthia of Woodbridge, CT. She was preceded in death by her two sisters, Ann (Jim) Michael and Mary (Dick) Secrest and special cousin Marcia Mcllyar Painter McNichol. Private funeral services will be held at Wise Funeral Service followed by her burial in Fairview Cemetery in Galion, Ohio.
