Mike; I live near Tillsonburg, which is a small town approx. 60 km southeast of London, Ontario. About 3 hours drive from Detroit. I only have contact with a very small group of Boyds in my own immediate family so any get together I could organize would be exceedingly small and not really worth your effort. I am only really interested in tracing my own ancestors, not all of the distant cousins, so I have not made an effort to track down my father's extended family. He had all kinds of aunts, uncles and cousins, most of whom I have never met. As I understand it this branch of the family had a running feud going that would have made the Hatfields and McCoys seem tame by comparison. :) Judging by the lack on any detectable activity in the various forums and genealogy sites it doesn't appear as though there is a great deal of interest among the other Boyds in this area. My sister and I seem to be the only ones that are actively pursuing it. While I appreciate your offer, I don't that think that I am the person to organize a meeting of the Boyds in this area. I can contribute my research to the pool and I can link my tree to one done by a distant cousin in Calgary if that would be of any help. If you let me know when you are going to be in Detroit I might be able to make the trip down. I know my father had some family in the Windsor area, which is right across the border from Detroit. Steve, Does your Boyds have any connection to the Douglas or Andersons? You are not far from me, I am just north of Detroit. My great grand parents came through Ontario to here, the Boyds. I just dont know where in Ontario.
