While I will be attending these games and helping to man the Boyd tent and answer questions on queries, etc, I have not yet THOUGHT ABOUT when I will arrive in Detroit, MI. I usually get a plane from Brisbane directly to Los Angles. However, my travel agent normally finds it cheaper for me to make two legs rather than take any available direct flight. So is there anyone who would wish to speak to a Boyd group or their Family History Society on Wednesday (30 July) or Thursday (31 July)? I have been told that the Detroit Public Library is one of the larger Libraries in the USA, so I expect that I will spend some days visiting there to search for Boyd families. I have not given any thought about how long I will stay, but I would like to be able to contact some Boyd History talks after these games. Either in Ontario, Canada or some other locations in Canada or the USA as I make my way back to Los Angles. So would you like me to stop by your place, so I can talk the Boyds in your area of the World. Oh are there any Games the following weekend 9-10 August, somewhere in or around Detroit where I might be able to get to by bus or train? I would like to be able to pass onto other Boyds some of the Boyd family history that I have discovered in the last 10 years of travelling to Scotland.
