    3. The following is the only content on the Boyd's in this book: *Boyd, James, and Jane McMaster. Ch: Robert, bp. April 2. 1777; Agnes, b. Jau. 5, 1779; John, b. June 15, 1780.* *Boyd, Alexander. and Elizabeth Becker (Bocker), Ch: John, b. July 28, 1781; Peter, b. Aug. 25. 1795.* *Boyd, John, and Christina Van Deusen. Ch: James, b. July 7, 1790.* *BOYD Hugh, and Catharine Staats, m. Jan. 14, 1796 dh: Ann, b.Ja11.6. 1797.* As usual for early American histories, the author wrote about his family connections. He was Dutch. The above Boyds are part of records transcribed from the Albany church records. However, there is nothing about migration patterns or ethnic movements into Albany. What many people don't understand is that Albany was settled in the early 1640s. Way before wholesale Ireland emigration began. It appears most of these Boyds are from Schenectady County, NY families.
