    3. Karen Of the 5 sons of George and Isabella Boyd only their second son George stayed in PA. It would seem from the notes below that Patrick and John Boyd stayed on the Dan River and the two younger brother - James and Robert - moved to Granville Co., NC. During my trip I was told that they were near the NC/VA border, so that when the tax colllectors came they could claim to be in the other State. (True Scotsmen). If you have any additional details on these sons, I woul dlike to hear form you please. (USLC # 71-126643), pp 20-21, said that:- "The brothers James (1717?-1772) and Robert (1719?-1778?), sons of George Boyd of Pennsylvania, were in Virginia with older brothers John and Patrick for a time but moved to North Carolina settling in Granville County which borders on the Virginia state line just south of Halifax County. Both died in Granville County."
