This lends me to believe his family lived in this area around 1810. The following Boyds are listed on the 1810 US Census for Pendleton, South Carolina: Ephraim, George, James, Susan and William. Does anyone have information on these Boyds he/she would be willing to share? Thanks! Justin FYI THE OLD VS THE NEW LOCATION NAMES On 19 December 1816, Pendleton District gained the Indian lands along the Chattooga. Finally, on 20 December 1826, the Pendleton District was abolished and replaced by Anderson <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anderson_County,_South_Carolina> and Pickens <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pickens_County,_South_Carolina> Districts. Pickens District incorporated both the current Pickens <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pickens_County,_South_Carolina> and Oconee <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oconee_County,_South_Carolina> Counties.^[3] <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pendleton_District,_South_Carolina#cite_note-2> The court house and jail for Pendleton District were in Pendleton, South Carolina <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pendleton,_South_Carolina>. As the time of the dissolution of the district, its second court house was under construction. This was completed by the Pendleton Farmers' Society.
