Have any member of this list seen the above book? And does it outline any of the many Boyd families in the Southwest of Virginia? I am not sure where its “Southwest” might start – I hope that it included Bedford/Patrick Counties and then take in the Counties to its west. Mike Boyd
I've used this book frequently over the years. There is quite a bit of information in the two volumes. I used it at a library, but there is a preview edition on Google books. I searched for Boyd and got hits on Alexander, Andrew, John, Robert, Barney, James Boyd. There may be more than that. I recommend it. For Ancestry members, this book can be accessed through their Card Catalog Search. I just Googled it, and the first link that showed up was to Ancestry. It also seems to be available through archive.org and familysearch.org. Bruce Boyd
