Posted : Friday, 01 July 2016 10:52 AM Walter Lee Boyd, 74, Pineville (Eddie's) Staff Reporting Walter Lee Boyd, son of the late Buford Boyd and Evelyn Kistler Boyd, was born May 15, 1942 in Kennett, Missouri. He departed this life June 30, 2016 at his home in Pineville, Arkansas at the age of 74 years, 1 month and 15 days. He spent his life as a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, provider and friend. During his working years he was a self-employed auto mechanic. He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law: Kirk and Patty Boyd of Calico Rock, Arkansas; two brothers: Dale Boyd of Calico Rock and Bernell Boyd of Mountain View, Arkansas; three sister: Sue Ann Schonshack of Arizonia, Patsy Hoyt and Michael Boyd both of South Haven, Michigan; one granddaughter: Kara Boyd of Calico Rock; his special friend and companion: Donna McCurley of the home and a host of other relatives and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister: Patricia Cope. The family will be holding a memorial service Saturday, July 2 beginning at 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Calico Rock with Wayne Wood and Jeff Sanders officiating.
