Listowner, My name is Shannah TWISS and my e-mail is: overthepond648@gmail.com and I am a Subscribed member and receive their messages but I have a problem. I can not Send messages to the List. They never appear in the next message. I have tried to send you message through: Admin@rootsweb.com and it is bounced and it says that there is no such address. I only hope that you can help me with the above problems. I have been to the Contact Section of Rootsweb but they do not believe that I am having these problems. They accusse me of not typing in the right address. My question is this? How the heck can it be a wrong address when it comes from my Contact List and have used the same addy prior to having these probs. through this List?? Hello Shannah: I am replying off list. You ARE subscribed to the list. You message did not go directly to me as List Admin. It went to the list and every single person subscribed to the list, as you sent it to the list address. In the footer of every message from the list is the list address. Write me off list at Boyd-admin@rootsweb.com ==================== There is no such address as admin@RootsWeb.com I am unsure what you mean by: "They never appear in the next message." You have a gmail account. Gmail files all of your outgoing mail in the sent folder. When and only IF there is a reply to your message will it appear in your in box, as part of the conversation. That is how Gmail works. It does not initially show you mail you have sent, as there is already a copy on file. The help desk does not make "accusations." Generally, they attempt to understand issues and provide information to allleviate the situation. If you like, you can forward the message you received from the help desk to me via boyd-admin@rootsweb.com and I will look at what they said. Your report to them should be included in their response. As to what is in your contact list..... It is possible to have an erroneous address and to select it. At some point in time, the internal address was bounces@rootsweb.com or something similar. Subscribers email clients picked up that address and try to send to it. It bounces as the address begins bounces@. What is in your contact list? Do you look at the address line before sending the mail to ensure it is going where you intend? I hope this information is responsive to your situation. Please advise if I have missed something.
