    3. Janet 1) These Boyds that you have listed – are they just a single Boyd entry or are do they set out their family? 2) Are you able to say which Counties are covered in this book, so that other list members can look at it for their “missing” Boyd families. It would seem that there was a migration of Boyds through Old Augusta County and Botetoute County and into Bedford, Franklin and Patrick Counties. A number of those families then went futher South but a number also went West into western Virginia Counties and into Eastern TN and Eastern KY. Those families from this later area then moved Down the Teneesee River systems form as early as 1779 with the Donaldson Party to Nashville, TN and later to Counties like Trigg and Christian Counties KY and Stewart County TN before moving in the mid 1800’s into Missouri. There is quite a bit of information in the two volumes. I used it at a library, but there is a preview edition on Google books. I searched for Boyd and got hits on Alexander, Andrew, John, Robert, Barney, James Boyd. There may be more than that. I recommend it.
