Mike, Thank you for the email referring to the Rev. Adam Boyd gravesite. As far I know there is no connection BUT thereagain I still haven't resolved my Boyd family history as yet. All I do know about my Boyds are that there were two brothers, namely William and Thomas, who settled in the Swansea area if not Swansea proper. I do know that they were early settlers on the lake and were both boatbuilders and fishermen. William married ?? ( but I do not know who ), and one of his children was Maud Gertrude Boyd who was my grandmother. I do not have details at the moment but from memory Maud was born in 1888 in Swansea. There were also at least two other girls born to William and they were Margaret and Rene, ( maybe Irene? ). There was also one son as well and he was Alan but that is all that I know. That is all that I can relay at this point. I am stumbling along trying to trace this Boyd line of Swansea but not having a lot of luck. In reference to the gravestone of Rev.Adam Boyd I would firstly have to prove that he was the father of the afore mentioned William and Thomas Boyd (??) or just someone else woth the same surname. As it stands at the moment I have no Idea as to where or when these two Boyd brothers came from prior to Swansea. Just maybe you may know of someone else who is or has researched these Boyd brothers of Swansea ??
