    1. [BOYD] 1828 NSW Census for Boyd - Need to turn entries into Family Chapters
    2. Mike Boyd via
    3. Members this is a list of Boyds in the NSW, Australia Census of 1828. However, it does not contain all the Boyds in NSW at this time, as my own family – who was a soldier is not included. This table included 11 columns. NSW in 1828 would only be about 1/10th of the present size of NSW today. Although it may have included the Penal colony of Moreton Bay – now Brisbane in Queensland – but it does not seem to have covered the Colony of Tasmania. So if your Boyds went to that Colony pre 1828, they would not be included in this list. My purpose in posting this is to tell you that such as list exists. And that if you have Boyds in England, Scotland or Ireland that might have “disappeared” in the early 1800’s, they might have been talking a holiday in Australia. But as you can see there is no indication FROM THIS LIST as to where they might have come from. The second purpose, is that this list and any other list of Boyds NEED TO BE TURNED INTO FAMILY CHAPTERS IN CLAN BOYD OF SCOTLAND, to help build the Clan Boyd Pyramid. So hopefully over time, with your help, we can turn each of these names into a family chapter. The same with any other list of Boyds – such as the 1790 US Census, the DAR Patriot Index- shipping lists, etc Thank you Mike Boyd Historical Committee, HBS LIST OF BOYD'S IN 1828 NSW CENSUS Name First Age F/B Ship Year S R Occupation Employer or Residence Remarks Boyd William 27 GS Mangles 1818 L P Messenger Road Party - 15 Parramatta Boyd Charles 17 GS John 7 C Servant Rev.
