Members 1) There is "debate" if Princes Mary was forced to get a Divorce from Thomas Boyd, Earl of Arran or if he died in 1474 and she "forced" or "encouraged" Lord James Hamilton. (I have yet to find a date for this second marriage.) 2) This Lord James Hamilton NEVER became Earl of Arran. His son and Heir became the Earl of Arran in 1506. (Sorry, I can't cite the source of the top of my head) 3) I have yet to find out why this title was given in 1506.
