Mike, I don't know a great lot on this subject but do know that I am correct in saying that William Boyd, ( his wife was Eliza Freeman of Freemans Waterhole ), was my great grandfather, i.e his daughter Maud Gertrude Boyd was my grandmother and she in turn married Walter James. I do not have an exact birth year of William Boyd but Maud was born in Swansea in 1888. And yes I do believe from family talk, ( way way back ), that William Street and Thomas Streets in Swansea were named for these two Boyd brothers but that is probably not much use to you. Any further info on this Boyd family I may be able to assist with but I do not have a great lot. Further info is available on this but I first wish to know if this is the same William Boyd you are referring to.
