For anyone working with DNA, I recommend downloading your raw DNA to GEDMatch if you tested through Ancestry, 23 &me or FTDNA Autosomal and FTDNA X as you will have access to a broader scope to compare segments of chromosomes. Mine is now divided by maternal and paternal lines, allowing me to know which side a match is on and compare segments of chromosomes. Though my Boyd is on my paternal side, it has removed all the maternal lines on GEDMatch making it less of a needle in a haystack. I tested through Ancestry and I am in a Boyd circle but it still hasn't gotten me back another generation as we are all stuck at the same generation.
