Barry Is is a very good "version two" plan of when travelling to put some time aside to visit where your family came from. Folks, when you are going to travel for any reason, it is worth asking the list if any Boyds live in that area and if they can tell you what sources of family tree information there are available "in town" for the time you have to spare. Greenville Games are in late May each year and only held on a Saturday. But as there are about 60 Clan tents there, it is a good way to be able to contact spouse families to see if they might have information on your family. It will then give you a reason to call at your County Centre to find those missing pieces of information. Oh I have not got my maps sorted out form my move yet, but is Polk County TN in the Mountain County with the moonshine!!! Also, the Pickens, SC courthouse is on my need to stop and research list if anyone is close to there for a meet up.
