List member 1) Does anyone have these publication that Randy is after? 2) With this limited information, I think that this George Boyd of Black Walnut MIGHT BE a part of the family of George and Isabella Boyd of Compass, PA, but I will not know that until he replies. Thank you Mike Boyd From: Aaron & Randy Sent: Monday, February 8, 2016 7:15 AM To: mikejboyd@bigpond.com Subject: Boyd property in halifax county, VA Mike, A project on my to do list has been to create a plat map of sorts for 1820's Halifax county. I'm aware of two publications, Property Lines >From An Old Survey Book Halifax Co VA 1741 - 1901 and the 1815 Virginia Landowners Directory and Gazette Vol 2., that could help in this endeavor. However I have not been able to access copies of either of these resources. It occurred to me that maybe someone has mapped out Boyd land holdings for Halifax county in the early to mid 1800's. I am particularly interested in knowing if decedents of George Boyd owned land in and around Black Walnut, or was this farther South than their holdings included. Black Walnut appears to have been about 6 miles from Boyd's Ferry. Do you know of anyone who has already done this work? Randy Wagner
