Interesting. My grandmother was Edna Ridens Boyd. But, I don't think we are connected in any way. My family came from the MidWest. Sometime when I have time, I will post what I know about my family. My mother's maiden name was Boyd, so this is how I became interested. Other family lines go much further back to Europe, but that really doesn't help me with Boyd. I realize that Carroll Co, Ohio was not formed until 1833 and so those various life events listed as occurring in Carroll, happened in another county, most likely Tuscarawas, Ohio.There have been some researchers that have indicated that James' father was eithe William or John.
