Queries for Dean Road, the quarterly magazine of the House of Boyd Society, is available to both members and non-members (although Michelle Ligon our Treasurer, I am sure would like to see all who send in entries who are members of HBS). Your queries can take two forms - your direct Boyd line or the first and second known generation with Parents and children type of query. With both methods, you need to put full names, known dates and known locations and who your original Boyd married and the same for the children if known. Or if you do not know these details, put your best guess and say this is based on your own estimate and not based on data. If you are unsure about your formating of your query, you could send your draft to Chris Smithson Email ctsmithson@gmail.com or genealogist@clanboyd.org Members of this list may have other stories they may wish to send to Editor Kevin McLachlan (Email editor@clanboyd.org) - having their own family re-union this year; information about missing branches of their tree; events that the family were involved in the past; grandma's favourite bit of cooking, etc. Or simply were you can find Boyd products. If you send a photo, I think Kevin would like it to be about half a meg in size or smaller. So by sending in your query, is another way to find your "cousins" - 3rd, 4th, 5th etc - whom you may not have found by other search methods.
