I am sending this query to Boyd list so that other Boyds who are researching for their Boyds around Ayr town might be able to help you as well if they have a James Boyd (second most common Boyd name) who married Mary Oswald (or some other spelling variation). St. Quivox and Newton (on Ayr) are suburbs of Ayr town.
