Christine Dotson Christine S. Dotson, 80, of Lexington, formerly of Phelps, died Sunday, June 26, 2011, in Lexington. She was born at Feds Creek, Feb. 20, 1931, the daughter of the late Virgil and Pearl BOYD Smith.SAZXA She was employed as a teacher for 30 years, by the Pike County Board of Education. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sid Dotson. She is survived by one daughter, Sharon Damron; one sister, Evelyn Smith; one grandchild, and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, July 1, in the Peter Creek Primitive Baptist Church with Bro. Mike Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Davidson Memorial Gardens, Ivel. Arrangements are under direction of Phelps Funeral Services of Phelps.
