This is a additional list of Boyds that were not on the 1990 DAR Patriot Index that I have found that were said to have also been involved in the War of Independence. I call this a B List. I have only gone to chapter 2/136 in this project and need to get time to go through up to Volume 6 with chapter 6/300 to see what other names can be added to this B List. Boyd's book he has provided from the old muster roll of soldiers from the Province or State of New York in the Archives, Albany, NY. They took active part in the Revolutionary war (I assume this was the war of 1776-1783?) and the regiments they were members of. Perhaps in time each of these men's families can be made into a family chapter. [This would suggest that perhaps other States that formed the United States in this period might have similar records which would be of value to Clan researchers.] From his notes it would appear that Ebenezer Boyd, is part of Chapter 2/140 Boyd of Kent, NY.
