    3. Perry Quite a good tree you have provided members of this list. I will be away from home for the next 3 days at a conference, so I will start some questions for you before I write next week. Have you looked at the 1820 and 1830 Chatham and/or Moore County NC census? - So what town were they living in? And were any other Boyd families "living nearby". It may be worth listing these to the list in case someone is linked to those - Are you on the both the old and current Chathan and Moore County Net list at rootsweb.com? - Alexander could have died on his farm in NC before the family moved; or while travelling to TN? (So do you know which route the family took from NC to TN. - In that period it was "quite" common that family groups travelled together. So look at the 1840 TN census for other Boyds. - The Counties Book tells us that Crockett Co., TN was not formed until 1845, then from Lauderdale, Dyer, Madison, Gibson & Haywood, so you may need to look in one or all of these western TN counties. Early next week I will search for any other Boyds in your NC Counties to see if I can find any others researching in this area of NC. Michelle Legon from Boone, NC, our State Historian for NC, may have some other suggestion in the mean time.
