He was the son of Eugene Franklin and Laura Miles Trail Boyd, and in the 1900 census says he was born May 1887. I don't have a marriage date for Thomas and Amanda either. Everyone, It turns out there is not much to know (at present) about Boyd's Mill, Va. Mr. Jim Heflin, Ass't Archivist Warren Heritage Society passed on the following: "According to records Boyds established a mill on the Gooney in the late 1700's. A Mr W. Boyd owned the mill and I can find no info on him. This is the crossroads of Rt 649 ( Browntown Road ) and Rt 622 which goes around Long Mtn to Limeton."
