    1. [BOYD] Kilbride Parish Church of 1700 - where was it?

    3. During my trip to Kilmarnock in 2010, I found the book on Monfode of that Ilk (which is just north of Ardrossan by a few kms) it says:- "In the burying-ground of Kilbride and on two alter stones, situated a little way south of the parish church, are cut the following inscriptions." This stone is dated 1698 and the second 1702. However, it is the term "little way south of the parish church) that interests me. I know that there is a new Church - which I think is on Drummilling Road - and an older church which is now used as a Community centre nearer the centre of West Kilbride. However, I am not sure where this "Parish Church of about 1700 is located? This may be the Church were Robertson said that 16 Alexander Boyds of Portincross were buried in the same vault. This would be over about a 400 year period. If you know of the location of this Church, I would be most grateful to hear form you please. Thank you.
