Hello: Questions of this (administrative) nature should be sent directly to Boyd-Admin@rootsweb.com so things can be worked out without interrupting the flow of the list and archiving off topic messages. However-- being as it is here now, I will respond on list. All posts sent to the lists at Rootsweb MUST be PLAIN text only. Check your settings in your email client to ensure you are not sending HTML encoded messages, nor pasting in anything that has HTML codes. When in doubt about pasting -- drop the message first on to a plain text editor, such as "notepad", and then copy and paste from there. That action will remove any encoding that would leave errata in messages. It will also change your formatting to the degree that the HTML made it "fancy." You may have to add spaces between lines, etc. Rootsweb does have some built in methods of stripping HTML from messages -- AOL, for example sends 2 copies one above the other... one plain, one HTML. Sometimes that results in NO message appearing. Sometimes it results in odd characters being inserted.
