As you will be aware from recent Emails that Lauren has been busy earning money (which we all need). At this stage I AM ASSUMING that at Las Vegas, there will be an Clan March during the 2 days. Again I assume form my experience at Stone Mountain, this will be held on the Sunday and post likely after lunch. So what Clan Boyd cloths can or might people be dressed in for this Clan March. So is there someone, other than Lauren, who can advise members who are coming what might be worn. Thank you Mike Boyd Brisbane Aust. HBS 423
Hi: Yes, I have been busy trying to earn a living. It is Saturday morning and I am looking to see if there are any fires in my email in box..... so I will chime in. Others are certainly welcome to add to the discussion. As I recall, there IS a clan march at the Las Vegas games. Further, as I recall they are not as "stuffy" as some, requiring you be kilted to join in. HOWEVER -- that said ---- Wear our tartan! Any item, garment of Boyd tartan would show others the strength of our numbers at the event. If you don't have any Boyd tartan items -- there will be some, I am sure, for sale at the event. If you'd like to get a head start and have something in advance try a Scottish shop local to you or see John Higgins, Ltd. on line. <http://www.jhiggins.net/> It is too late to order a specially made kilt in time for this event, but you might consider ordering one to wear in the future. Wear your Boyd tee shirts!!! Don't have one? Talk to our Treasurer, Michelle Ligon. And now on to other things.....
