Further Wm is alleged to be the son of James Boyd b abt. 1735 in Scotland. James was married to Mildred Moody? b1730 Va. Thomas I went to the Cobb county library and tried to find your Mildred or a James Boyd in Cobb county around 1812. The librarian pointed out to me that Cobb county didn't exist because that was before the Cherokee removal so although there were white men settling in Cherokee lands before that event, there weren't many. I had no luck (so far) with finding your James/Mildred Boyd. Do you have any further information on your James Boyd that might help.
