Members This family of Andrew Boyd, I have allocated to Chapter 25/1251 in Volume 25 which Charlene Kemp our State Historian is compiling. (Email statehistorianpa@clanboyd.org ) Given that Andrew was born in 1747 and Sarah in 1778, IT MAY SUGGEST THAT SHE IS HIS SECOND WIFE. So the naming patterns of his children may not help to identify his parents in Philadelphia, PA. I was just looking at the date of birth for their son James Boyd in 1791. This would indicate that she was only about 12 years old when she married. So is anyone familiar with the CENSUS SUBSTITUTE INDEX for Tennessee in 1790 or even the 1800 US Census to see if Andrew had older children living with him. [Do we have anyone living in or near Philadelphia whom my be able to take up some research in that City on early Boyd families?] I was not able to make any connection to any of my existing families, except for Elizabeth Polk Henderson. It would appear that she married 2ndly to the husband of Nancy Boyd of Williamson Co., TN:- JB-1-7: 'Nancy Boyd B Williamrnson Co., c. 1810 d. Wmson. Co., Jan. 1830, age 20 or 26, bur. Boyd Cern. in. Wmson. Co., 21 Dec. 1825, Jonathan Amis, John Boyd Sec. d. i. 2 daughters, probably: JB-1-7-1: Jane C. Amis JB-1-7-2: Nancy Amis Amis married 2) Elizabeth Polk Henderson, widow of James Boyd, s/o Andrew Boyd of Maury Co., which might indicate some relation with that family. Charlene, do you want me to write up this data into chapter 25/1251 for you> Does anyone on this long to the 4 married children or know anything about John and Robert Boyd from Maury County, TN Mike Boyd Historical Committee, HBS ----- Original Message ----- From: Mindy Householder To: Boyd@rootsweb.com ; Mike Boyd Sent: Saturday, February 19, 2011 4:18 AM Subject: BOYD, Andrew Roster of Soldiers and Patriots of the American Revolution buried in Tennessee I have found several Boyd's in this book and wanted to share  Title of Book: Roster of Soliders and Patriots of the American Revolution Buried in Tennessee 1974 compiled by Lucy Womack Bates, Chairman Revisted 1979 by Helen Crawford Marsh Published by Tennessee Society, NSDAR Library of Congress Catalog Card Number: 79-64462 Page: 19 BOYD, Andrew (B 1747 Philadephia, PA/d August 5, 1828, Maury County.
