John Boyd (bc1763 - d 1840) m 180x (location unknown), Rachel Waters, dau of Samuel Waters from Maryland. [This John Boyd's father MIGHT BE Samuel Boyd listed in the 1790 US Census at South Huntingdon] Known children: Nancy Hawkins, Charlotte Hawkins, Jane Hawkins, Eliza Lauphrey, Andrew (and his wife Martha), William John, James and Stephen Boyd. It is not know when this family settled in Westmoreland Co., PA. He might be the John Boyd shown in Derry Twp, however he is more likely to be the son of the Samuel Boyd of South Huntingdon Twp, as it would appear that he married after 1790.
