Bob Boyd of Nashville has just advise me that because of his age that he is not able to organise a meeting for me in Nashville, TN - which is an rich area for Boyd descendants. I will be coming from Knoxville, TN on Wednesday 4 May with Kathy Manning. I understand this is about a 3 hour car drive, so we should be there by 12 noon. I would then like to go to the TN State Library to see the work of the late Linda Lawhon and her family from, Iredell Co., NC. I will have to check with Mindy of Washington Co., PA who tells me that she has the Scott Lee Boyd book of 1935 which outlines the family of William Boyd whom I understand had a son Robert Boyd in 1728 (but I have not seen any details about this Robert Boyd). The same year and general location that Linda's Robert Boyd is said to have been born. This is the same Boyd family that Belle Boyd the southern spy belongs to, so it will be interesting to see if the DNA between Robert Boyd born 1729, who married Eleanor McCullock and that of this William Boyd's family might match. I will have to be in Memphis TN on Thursday night, so I can pick up a flight Friday morning Sacromento, CA. I am booked into the Quality Inn Airport Graceland. So that might be able to be used as a venue. At this stage I am not sure how I will get from Nashville to Memphis - either Amtrack or by bus. Thank you Mike Boyd
