Charlene, descendant of Hugh, has a brother who was tested; my cousin, descendant of Joseph (b. 1769), was also tested.  Neither of us match any Boyds.  More Boyds need to be tested.  One or more of our ancestors may have been adopted into the Boyd family. I do not know if descendants of James, the Rev. War pensioner, have had any DNA testing done, but it would be interesting if they have.
