Howfully I can get back to you tomorrow Mike Boyd HIstorical Committee, HBS ----- Original Message ----- From: jtnichols@comcast.net To: Mike Boyd Sent: Friday, April 08, 2011 9:59 AM Subject: Re: [BOYD] Boyd is Washington Co., PA in 1790 Census Mike, Dugal Boyd is my great, great, great, great grandfather. His daughter Elizabeth married Nathan Woodbury, of Beverly, MA, who is also in the 1790 census adjacent to Dugal Boyd in Fallowfield Township, Washington County and adjacent to the property of Col. William Crawford. Some 1790 census transcriptions wrongly show Nathan's surname as Goodbury a misreading of the cursive script. Dugal came from County Antrim in Ireland in the ship Belinda arriving at Philadelphia July 14, 1746 and was indentured in Philadelphia County, PA to Samuel Vernon "for five years for 14 pounds consideration, customary dues." State tax records place him in Washington County in 1786. He received a warrant for 343 acres of land in Fallowfield Township, Washington County, PA on Nov. 5, 1796. On Dugal's death in 1797 the land went to his son Valentine Boyd. John T.
