You all have posted that a Robert Boyd b. c1780 m. Elizabeth Rakes d/o Charles Rakes & Jane Hubbard. Where did you get that Charles Rakes m. Jane Hubbard? I have Hubbards in my lineage but not a Jane that ever married a Charles Rakes. I have Charles Anthony Rakes b. c1770 in Henrico Co, VA; d. c1822 in Franklin Co, VA was married twice, first c.1788 to Sarah Elizabeth Unknown; their children were: Gabriel Rakes; Elizabeth Rakes; Samuel Jackson Rakes; Charles Rakes; David Rakes; Chesley Aaron Rakes b. 13 July 1800 (one of my Rakes connections). Charles Anthony Rakes m. 2nd on 20 Feb 1807 to Nancy (Mary) Oakes and their children were: John Carter Rakes; William Rakes; Polly Rakes; Lewis Rakes. I am looking in my death records book for Patrick Co, VA for the Elizabeth Rakes that married Robert Boyd. Will post if I find anything. I have birth records books from 1853-1896 for Patrick Co; have marriage records books from 1800-1896; death records from 1853-1900 and unrecorded documents book from 1791-1920 (Patrick Co). I also have a copy of the court order records book 0. We did 2 Heritage Books for Patrick Co and I have a copy of both. There are many family histories in these two books written by descendants of the people who settled Patrick Co. If anyone needs a lookup, I will be happy to oblige. If I get time maybe I can just post all the listings for BOYDS that I find in these books. I have some books from Rockingham Co, NC also as many of the people from Patrick Co were connected to people in that county. I have some information on the Isham Cockram s/o Edward and Mary "Polly" Edwards. This is not my line but you know how these families interconnect through marriages. Again you have Sarah Rakes as d/o Charles Rakes & Jane Hubbard. Isham Cockram and Sarah Rakes had a son named David Preston Cockram b. 1805 in Franklin Co, VA, d. 30 Nov 1876 in Patrick Co, VA; m. Oct 1825 in Patrick Co, VA to Anna Wood b. 1806. Pat Long Roanoke, VA
