Christopher and Joe, All I have is a death certificate for my great grandfather Carl Joseph which lists "Frank Boyd" as the father. Based on 1860 census records, approx date of birth and location the Ancestry.com and Rootsweb searches matched to a Francis M Boyd? It is at this time I am awaiting a death certificate for Francis Boyd which will hopefully confirm relation if I can locate it? The understanding I have is that MO was not keeping birth certificates or death certificates until 1910, so family members born during the 1800's have to rely upon family bibles, churches and historical records to verify or confirm information. I am hoping that some cousin out there may have a connection to the Ohio Boyd's (if they exist) and could shed light on who he was and other research information. Regards, Steven
