In the book The Boyds of Boyds Tank, by Frank Ewell Boyd & William Taylor Boyd. (1970). 107 p. 71-126643, it outlines part of the family of:- Henry and Susan Heard Boyd lived out their days in the Long Cane community of Troup County. There they died and were buried in unmarked graves in the family cemetery located just west of Long Cane near the Chattahoochee River. They had twelve children, namely: In Chapter V. At the end of that chapter it mentions:- "Mrs. Roland Shaefer Heard, Mrs. Charles Mellard Jamison and Mrs. Julius C. Moore, descendants of Henry and Susan Heard Boyd, are collecting and compiling genealogical data for histories of their respective Boyd-Heard family lines. We drew heavily on their material for this Henry Boyd chapter. They also supplied other genealogical data and otherwise helped in developing the Boyd Story." >From this I would ASSUME that one or all three ladies were doing their own family tree of this Branch of the descendants of George and Isabella Boyd of Chester Co., PA. I have not seen any books or references by these ladies. So can any of our Georgian or Alabama cousins find out they may have deposited something on this family in the Troup County Library please.
