Susan Have you looked at US Census? I do not think that the 1890 Census survives, but check both the 1880 and 1900 Census for Shelby Co., Ill and let the list know what you find. Hopefully in 1880 CEnsus, you can get Charles T Boyd, Sr.'s age and find what his occuption was, etc. Then the group may be bale to make some suggestion where you can look for him.
