Lisa Where was Katie born - town and County. And is the County of 1859 still the same or in a differnent County today? And where and when was she married to Mr Fowler. If you can add the church that may alsao help to identify her Boyd family. Members given Lisa Williamson query about how to post to House of Boyd Members now may be a GOOD TIME to remind list members that if you remain "silent" on this list and only receive other peoples queries you are very unlikely find your "problem" Boyds or the next generation back in your family tree. I assume that there are hundreds or thousands on this list. So you need to advertise what you are looking for in YOUR FAMILY BRANCH. This will allow others to see. They can't SEE UNLESS YOU TELL THEM. The Email is quite useful, but I do not think it can read brains yet. While I have some 630 Separate Boyd family chapters and I THINK THAT FROM LAST YEARS TRIP HAVE COME HOME WITH KNOWN DATA FOR ANOTHER 500 FAMILY CHAPTERS. (I have no idea how many pages these 630 chapters will make up). While this sounds quite a lot of information, I estimate that it is only less than 1 precent of Clan Boyd members spaning some 28 generations from 1111 AD. So we need to advertise what each of us are looking for to let others know. So provide as much information as you know (or have been able to prove). And make a note of what is family folklore or theory, so that others in the future can know fact from fiction. It is very easy to mix Boyd families, when you have so many James, John, Robert Thomas and William Boyd families living together. I am currently trying to get time to research the John Boyd family that Mindy posted form the DAR book on 19 February, which gives 10 children. I think that one of these might belong to another Boyd family who starts with a William Boyd and Mary Wasson (But I will do more research and post that later) Thank you Mike Boyd Historical Committee, HBS
here is the information I have (and please bear with me as I am still new to this and not sure what I'm doing at times). thank you all so much! Lisa You Email your Query to the Editor of Dean Road, Kevin McLachlan at Email editor@clanboyd.org I am not sure what sortof query you wish to post:- - the where can I find XYZ, or - or the brick wall question that you have got back to a certain date & location and can't find the parents of AB. If it is this later query, it is a good idea to put the Boyd, their spouse AND THEIR CHILDREN along with full names, dates and locations of known births, deaths; where buried and who the children married. This will allow the maximum number of people to connect to your Branch, as other reserchers may have only got back to one of thses children and not know the next generation. If you have any "trouble" with setting out you query or you wish someone to "look" at it before you send it to Kevin, contact Chris Smithson (Email statehistorianmd@clanboyd.org) You may also wish to post your "query" to this list as well in what ever details you currently have. I understand that Kevin is currently preparing a current issue of Dean Road and "may" have another issue of Dean Road ready for the AGM at Las Vegas in April (That I asusme will depend on if members and the public sends him articles, photos and queries) So does that answer your question fully? Jo Ann Kelly from Virginia (on the above Email address) has asked me if I knew of anyone in Kentucky who can do family tree research. She has got her family back to about 1800 but has struck a brick wall. I have just Emailed her to suggest that she post this blockage to the whole list, as there any quite a number of Boyd researchers that had family pass through Kentucky. Perhaps that when she goes through that process she can see what she need to do with a paid researcher. Thank you Mike Boyd Historical Committee, HBS

This Boyd is the grand son of George and Isabella Boyd of Chester Co., PA through their son Patrick. However, form the Salymaker Papers I have only found 6 children. Milly, the 2nd John, Nancy and James R are new children to me. I did find some data on this family during my trip, but I have yet to get to that in my sorting process. So hopefully I can confirm this in a few weeks time. There are some names that sound familiar to some old queries form some years ago so MEMBERS LOOK AT THE MARRIAGE OF THIS CHILDREN CAREFULLY.
