    3. Colin This Thomas Boyd is one of the 7 sons of Robert Boyd and Eleanor McCullough that I have in ch 4/238 T1 Robert Boyd, bc 1728 ( , Scot.?), dc 5/2 or 3/1806 ( , Iredell Co., NC), bu , Iredell Co., NC? , m / /1752 ( which Presbyterian church, , Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA), Eleanor McCullough, dau of and (nee ) McCullough, bc 1732 ( , Ireland?), dc 1818 ( , Iredell Co. NC), bu , Iredell Co., NC?, and had issue:- [Lived: , Iredell Co.?, North Carolina ] This family of Robert and Eleanor are the family of the late Linda Lawhon of Texas. There appears to be several Boyd families in York County, PA. I have a THEORY BUT NO PROOF, that they may be connected in both PA and back in Ireland. Have you some contacts with this family? 3. Christian I am sorry, I am just been going through some of my back Emails and found this one that I had not read. Last Thursday, I went and paid for my flight direct form Las Vegas to Chicago, so I can't change it now. I assume next at the time of the AGM, I will go to some of the States west of the Mississippi, so I will make sure that I keep your Email for next year. 2. Larry Horton
    3. This Thomas Boyd seems to be the son of Robert Boyd and Eleanor McCulloch. He was born 03/10/1761 and died 11/24/1846 in Callaway Co. Mo. He married Grezelda Allen on 03/210/1787. (DAR Patriot index (1966) p 77. "Daughters of the American Revolution Lineage Book." (a) Vol. 63,p.84. Lineage of Miss Grace Boyd 62254. Appears to have had 7 Children John Eleanor b. 01/19/1788 Robert b. 1789 Jane b. 01/26/1793 Joseph b. 10/07/1798 Thomas b. 05/29/1801 There is also mention of another John born 11/09/1796. This is a bit confusing and could be an error. Could also be that the first John died and they used the name again. Have heard of that but would not take the information on John without further evidence. USE WITH CAUTION AND ONLY WHEN CONFIRMED! 3. Darlene I will shortly write to Bob Boyd of Nashville, TN to see what can be done on Wednesday 4 May 2011 to organise a meeting in Nashville. I have booked a flight out of Memphis on Friday 6 May - leaving 9.30 am arriving in Phoenix 11.08 am and then at 1.35 pm leaving for Sacramento, arriving 3.33pm So hopefully, on Thursday morning I can get from Nashville to Memphis, TN. So how close to the TN border are your relatives in Alabama? Or is there an member/s of this list in or around Memphis TN or across the river in Arkansas whom may also be able to assist with arranging a meeting in or near Memphis, TN that would allow me to fly out on Friday morning. 3. Are any of our cousins in Indiana familiar with this Library? And would you like to take on the task of "searching" it for known Boyd family trees? So they can be added to the 620 know Boyd families that we have collected so far. The "searching" does not have to be done yesterday!! But when your family life gives you time. When I go to Scotland and Ireland, I do what I call vacuuming for Boyd information in the Library that I am visiting. So over the last 7 years I have found quite a number of "new" or unknown Boyd families to me which will allow the Clan Boyd Pyramid to be further developed.. This area was quite popular with Boyd families in the 1800's but I have no idea if any Boyd or Boyd descendants are living in this region today. There are 25 researchers for Thomas, including Linda Lawhon, who updated last in April 2003. There seems to be quite a bit of information there. Be sure to look at each researcher. 2. Well, he's there now! I haven't found him, but I haven't yet searched each and every file. Maybe Mike will add some info here. I take it there is no info about him after the age of 15 or about his move to MO? Does anyone else on the list know this Thomas? Thanks, Colin! 1. Re: [BOYD] Mike's History Talking Tour - Pikesville, KY
    2. Mike Boyd
    3. Judith I have to be at Greensboro, NC by mid afternoon on Friday 29 April. So if we work backward from there. How far are you from Boonesville, NC where Michelle Legon lives. I think she is about 2-3 hours from Grensboro (and assuming she will give me some space in her car for the trip). Michelle may also wish me to talk to the local newspaper in Boonesville. So could you get me from Pikesville to Boonesville on Friday morning. We may also need an hour - over coffee - to talk to Michelle, as well in that time period. So if I aim to get to Pikesville on Wednesday "afternoon" I would be quite happy to talk to people either Thursday morning or Thursday early evening. Or if you wish to go to another close by County, I could do one in the morning and one in the evening at two different venues. At this stage, I seem to have been organised to Wednesday 20 April at Dayton, OH. I am hoping that I can get someone's help to organise a meeting in or near Columbus and eastern Ohio - such as Cleveland or Coshocton, Tuscarwas, Guernsey or Belmont County area. I expect that I will then in the Pittsburgh,Washington Co., PA for a few days about 24-25 April. Now that I have cleared this mornings mail, I can back to writing to you. 3. Dear Cousins: It is on the news that an 8.9 Earthquake has hit Japan. Fortunately, it was at approximately 2pm and daylight. There have been two tidal waves reported. The Island of Hawaii is also expected to be hit by tidal waves. House of Boyd Society Member, Don Houk, lives in Japan. It is my hope that he and his family are safe. Don -- when you read this, please let your Boyd cousins know you are ok. Our thoughts are with you. Yours Aye, Lauren Lauren Boyd McLachlan President House of Boyd Society
