Mike and JoAnn, You have confused the names. My husbands ancestor was Lemuel Wilkerson, who married Nancy Bowling (found spelled various ways). She was the daughter of Manning Bowling and Mary Mangham/Mangrum. Nancy was born about 1799 in GA. Her known siblings don't include a Lemuel, but could be a cousin. Are you aware of the Bolling Family Association? That should be a big help in researching this family. I have just become aware of it. They have a web site, if you are interested.
