I have some serious questions for serious Bowling researchers. from "Some Prominant Virgina Families." States that a John Bolling b. 1737 married Martha, sister of Thomas Jefferson. BUT, "Thomas Jefferson, and Intimate History", Brodie says this sister was Mary. Can we clear this up. Second, The children of Maj. John Bolling m. Elizabeth Blair are listed as Thomas 1735; John 1737 m. sister of Thomas Jefferson; Robertb. 1738; Mary b. 1744; Sarah b. 1748; Archibald b. 1750 and Ann b. 1752. I am supposed to be descended from Benjamin Bowling also of this union b. 1734. He is not listed in the book "Prominant Families...." Can someone tell me anything about any of this? If anyone knows the url or email for the Bowling Family Association, I'll ask there if no one on this list knows. Thanks marsha
