Here's another Tennessee Bolling but he belongs more with Thomas & Alexander. Willoughby/Willaby was born in SC between 1775 & 1785. By 1800 he is married & in Montgomery Co., NC. Can't find him in 1810, but in 1820 he's in Lincoln Co., Tenn. with John & Robert Bolen on the census records with him. In the court records for this time frame there is Alexander , Frederick & Stephen Bowlen mentioned, though Stephen is deceased. In 1830 he is in Marion Co., Ala. This is not too far from Lawrence or Franklin Co., Ala. & some of the Lawrence Co. Bolens move into Itawambie Co., Miss. which is right across the state line from Marion Co., Ala. In 1840 he's in Stoddard Co., Mo. & by 1846 he's on the tax list for Moniteau Co., Mo. where he dies in 1849. The other Bolins in Moniteau Co. seem to be born in Tenn. or Ala. whichever matches the years he was there, so though I don't have proof, I am beginning to wonder if they are his children. The 3 children I know of are Ada, a single woman who has 3 Bolen children Eli, Russel, & John, plus my Hill children (grandchildren of Willoughby's) living with her, A Willoughby Bolen & Elizabeth Bolen who married John Hill probably in Ala. Marion Co., Ala. is a burned county & I feel sure a lot of my answers are deep in ashes there. Foster & Suggs are 2 families that seem to travel with him at least through Tenn. & into Mo. Would love to find where he fits in. Bernadine Teague
