I have a very elusive William Bowling (spelling may vary) who married Roda Williams. Daughter Rachel Bowling was born 26 Nov 1832 in Lee County, VA and died 15 Dec 1915 in Hart Co., KY. Other children may have been Candis, Ellen, Jane, Lovice, Milant, Riley and Jack. This information came from Rachel's death certificate and a letter written about her by her grand-daughter. The letter does state that all of her family lived far away (location is not stated) and that only one of her siblings ever visited her. And, of course, our family, like most of yours, has the Pocahontas tradition as part of our Bowling tradition.
