BOWLING, NELLE GRACE JONES TAZEWELL, VA - Nelle Grace Bowling, 78, of Tazewell, VA, died Wednesday, Aug. 12, 1998, at her home. Born Feb. 22, 1920, at Gratton, VA, she was a daughter of the late Charles Gratton Jones Sr. and Leola Mae Burton Jones. She was a member of the Tazewell Baptist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother. Survivors include her husband, Thomas E. "June" Bowling Jr.; daughter, Clara Mae Bowling Perkins and son-in-law, Jimmy E., of Elizabethton, TN; grandchildren, Capt. M. Shane Perkins of De Ridder, La, Stefanie and Jared Perkins, both of Elizabethton; sisters, Ann J. Puckett and Thelma J. Maloyed, both of Tazewell, VA; and a brother, C.G. Jones Jr. of Tazewell. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 14, at Peery and St. Clair Funeral Home Chapel of Tazewell, with the Rev. Robert W. Belcher officiating. Burial will follow at the Grandview Memory Gardens on the Bluefield-Tazewell Road.
