I note your connecting families with interest. I have a Dyer female who married a Bowling and another line associated with them that may be connected to the Fugate family. The Fugates were at least friends and acted as witnesses on various transactions. My time frame is late 1700s. The familiy traveled from Virginia to Washington County Kentucky (when it was still Virginia) to Tennessee (briefly) back to Livingston County Kentucky and then into Pope County Illinois. by ca 1810. If you think there might be some connection, I can provide specifics.
