BOWLING, TOM MARTINSBURG - Thomas R. Bowling, 40, of Martinsburg, formerly of the Hubble Hill area of North Tazewell, VA, died Friday, March 5, 1999, at a Winchester, Va., hospital from complications due to a long illness. Born Feb. 11, 1959, in Tazewell County, VA, he was a son of the late Carr J. "Carl" Bowling and Lorena "Rene" Bowling. He lived in the North Tazewell area until the early 1990s when he relocated in Martinsburg. He was a disabled construction worker. Survivors include three brothers and their wives, Daniel C. "Dan" Bowling II and Jan of North Tazewell, Othel D. "Don" Bowling and Terry of Onley, VA, and Robert E. "Bob" Bowling and Cherry of Tazewell; four nephews and three nieces. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Peery & St. Clair Funeral Home Chapel in Tazewell with Rev. Brad Scott officiating. Burial will follow at the Maplewood Cemetery in Tazewell. Pallbearers will be nephews and first cousins: Daniel Bowling III, Norman Bowling, Jarrett Bowling, Curtis Bowling, Randall Bowling and Everett Bowling.
