Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help me? My 3rd gr grandfather was Ad or ADD Bolling/Bowling. His parents were James Bar Creek Jim Bowling and Martha Benge. Ad was born in 1846 in KY. I believe he was born in Clay Co. I understand that he campaigned for jailer at one time and as part of his campaign strategy he had a poster made with him sitting up on a mule. I would love to find a picture of that poster or a copy of it. Also, Ad and his wife Eliza Benge had a daughter, Mahala. She was my 2nd gr grandmother and was married to George Harvey H. Hensley. According to census records , Mahala was living near her father in 1880 , listed as age 21, with two children, Alford (my gr grandfather) age 2 and Newtin age 4/12. I cannot find Mahala any later than that in census records. No one knows what happened to Newtin. There is a marriage record for George and Mahala dated March 29,1877. There is a Lige Bowling that somehow fits into this picture . He signed for Alford to get married. It is possible that this Lige Bowling married Mahala later, as she went on to have two other children, Jim Bowling and Frank Bowling. I cannot find a date or place of death for George Hensley. If anyone can provide further information on this family, I would appreciate it greatly. Thanks, Kay-
