I'm going to try my BOWLING branch again in light of some new information. If anyone recognizes these names, please contact me. My problem began with LUCINDA BOWLING, born ca 1812, died 11 Apr 1859. On her death record, her parents are listed as JAMES and FRANCES BOWLING. JAMES married ELIZABETH MORRISON in Patrick Co VA in 1801. The death record for JAMES (d 1861) lists his parents as JAMES and SARAH BOWLING. For both LUCINDA BOWLING and her sister, MARY BOWLING ATKINS, their mother's name is listed as FRANCES or FRANKEY. Does anyone know if ELIZABETH MORRISON'S name was ELIZABETH FRANCES MORRISON? I suspect this was the case, but have no proof. LUCINDA, who was my ggggrandmother, never married, but she had two daughters out of wedlock, CATHERINE (my gggrandmother) and SUSAN. CATHERINE'S father, ELISHA ANGLIN, eventually recognized her as his daughter and deeded land to her as a gift. I do not know who SUSAN'S father was. If anyone has any information, confirmed or unconfirmed, about any of these people, please pass it along. Thanks! Shelby
